My Mom has taught school for the last 20 years. She Retired at the end of this school year. This is what I made for her retirement party. I created the Every Child left behind printable in picmonkey, as well as the Retire card.

How to make your own designer gift shop clock
I was in a gift shop last week and fell in love with this clock. It was mounted on this cute chevron board. The price was out of this world.
During my Garage sale adventures over the weekend. I found this clock and paper covered frame. I scored a serious deal. Because, it was late in the day the lady sold me these and some other stuff for $1
First I stripped the paper from the frame and sanded it off a bit.
Next I painted the frame white
I covered the clock face
I painted a layer of white for primer and the painted a layer of chocolate brown
I love Chevron! I already have tons of Chevron in my home. So I chose this Spanish Tile background. Using my Silhouette Machine. I cut this background Stencil, on contact paper. My frame measures 12X12. It was really easy to set up and cut. I found the SVG file FREE on Birdscards.com She has some really amazing FREE files! Thank you birdscards.
Pull your stencil off the backing and stick on your frame.
Paint your second color and let dry. Remove contact paper stencil.
Last step was to glue the clock on the board using E6000 glue. The frame worked out well. Because of the hole it gives access to replace the battery and change the time.
Here is my take on that expensive "Gift Shop Clock"

3 tone spring sign "How to Paint"
How to paint your own 3 tone Spring Sign.
I saw this cute spring sign on poppyseedprojects.com It's Say's she offers classes. I looked all over her web page. I couldn't find any info on classes or pricing. So, I decided to make my own. My version, I'm sure is a lot larger.
I cut my board 24in X 24in. Then I painted the entire board white.
Next I used my silhouette cameo and cut a double scalloped circle. I had to cut in fourths and tape together due to the size of my board.
Tape you scallop circle on your board. I made the template out of paper. Something this large would be harder to put together with vinyl. (I have tried with paper and vinyl before)
Paint your outer layer first.
Next I cut the phrase using vinyl (I used Edmund's font). Center the phrase and place in the middle of your circle, using transfer tape.
Paint your inside layer over the vinyl
Remove paper and vinyl templates. I did touch up a few spots with a fine tip paint brush
Welcome Spring!

15 minute polk a dot banner
Step 1: Cut 5 triangles out of burlap
Step2: I used a water bottle lid, dip in paint and stamp on burlap. I also added a pinch of glitter, while the paint was still wet.
Step 3: let dry (they dry very quick)
Step 4: Sew or glue ribbon or lace across 5 triangles
Now you have a fun pennant banner!

St. Patrick's Day Pots
I bought some mini pots at the dollar store
First paint them black
Next add a layer of tacky glue
Then roll in green or gold glitter
I cut out a shamrock and glued it to the front
add treats and a tag of your choice.
I am loving the saying:
Tis far better at
Rainbows End
to find not
GOLD
but the heart of a
Friend!
I will be passing these out to friends!
St Patrick's Banners
I made a few of these LUCKY banners to give as gifts. They are small, as you can see they fit across a door. They were a quick 20 min project. I also made a little shamrock doily to add to my coffee filter wreath.

Maggie's TV cabinet transformation
My Sis in law has been in love with the TV cabinet I turned into a shelf. So much that she found herself one. My husband spent the day there, helping convert it into this. I am sure it will look awesome painted. She is going to paint it coral. I hope to post finished pictures.

Valerie's Chair and special pillow
I had a chance to help a mom that is part of my daughters playgroup. She had a chair she wanted to recover. I wish I had been better about taking pictures. While helping her, I put the wrong piece of fabric on the back ( why does that always happen when its not your own project!) We had to rip it off and cut a new piece. I felt horrible. I couldn't waste the other piece, but it had holes all down the middle of it. I took the fabric home. I ended up cutting out the center and making her this pillow. I hope she likes it.
We weren't quite finished. I love how it turned out. So classy
I used the freezer paper stencil
