Burlap Stockings

My bff is the best!!!  I had really wanted to make some burlap stockings.  I was having a really rough week and a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit.  I had no decorations up and no desire to put anything up.  I woke up one morning to a text, it said to go look on my porch.  There I found these cute burlap stockings.  She had stayed up all night making these for me.

December 25th boards

When I made the creates, I had my husband cut and use every scrap of wood.  I had enough wood pieces to make 4 of these boards.   I played around with different fonts and boarders.  I finally decided I liked this layout best.  I gave these to some of my crafty friends.

Deer frame

I have been loving all the fancy deer.  This was a quick and easy project.  I found the deer at the dollar store, it came in a 2 pack.  I painted an old frame white, then hot glued that cute deer on some scrapbook paper.  Nice and easy!

Glam Deer pillow

I saw this idea here http://pitterandglink.blogspot.com/2013/11/reindeer-silhouette-embroidery-hoop-art.html

I changed mine up a little.  Instead of the hoop, I wanted a pillow.  I also freezer paper stenciled my deer on instead of using fabric.  Here is how I made it!
I Cut the image out, then ironed it on to my fabric.

I sponge painted the image

Then added some glam!

It's all about the porch

I love the size of my porch.  I love to showcase this feature of my home.

This is the sign my bff and I made for our yard post's ( we were in a red and white theme)

The obsession with burlap continues through Christmas.  We made these darling Christmas trees to hand on the door!
I love these Giant Noel boards.  I asked my mother-in-law for some old bi-fold doors she had, back in July for a different project.  I never got around to.  They worked out wonderful for this.

Here is my chalkboard all ready for Christmas

We made the Giant count down boards on the back side of our Halloween count down.  You can see a better picture of it here  http://craftyourself.com/2013/11/christmas-countdown/

This little stamp was the inspiration for the pillow.  I created a stencil and painted it on.
I need a few extra pillows to balance the bench out.  So I whipped up these two.
I found these would trees at an outlet store for $1.49. They are 24 inches tall!  I ended up glittering 7 of these cuties.

N. Pole mini tree

My inspiration came from tatertotsandjello.com.  My BFF was dying over the create the tree was in.  In an earlier post.  I showed how I made the creates.  Originally I was going to put this create on my porch with a plain tree in it.  After I pull out all my Christmas tubs, I realized I had bought new bulbs after Christmas last year.  I decided to make a baby version of my BFF's tree found here http://craftyourself.com/2013/11/north-pole-christmas-tree-crate-christmas-tree-make/.   I put it on top of my side table and have loved it!!!

Welcome board with changeable banner

Because the holly jolly board was so quick and easy.  We had enough time to create this welcome board also.  The 2 banners, just clip on the board and can be changed for every season.

Holly Jolly board

I had a little craft time with a friend.  We played with her silhouette cameo machine.  I own the cricut machine.  I must say, I have little cutting machine envy.  It was so easy to create this project on her machine.  I am really into the natural or rustic look right now.  I think this will make a great addition to my holiday decor.

Pallet Boxes

I saw this idea on tatertotsandjello.com  she bought a create and put her Christmas tree down inside.  I found some old pallets.  We tore them apart and in about an hour had created these boxes.  The large one I white washed and stenciled the N. Pole on.  The small one I left and stenciled in white.  The large one is for my Bff she had been dying for this box to put her tree in.  I will link up pictures of her tree, when she has it up and ready.

Turkey block and pillow box gift bags

I have told you how amazing our Drs. Office staff is.  We decided to make them a little thanksgiving gift bag.  I made a smaller version of the turkey print and push pined it onto some small wood blocks.  Then made these pillow boxes using another printable found on secondchancetodream.com also.

Burlap turkey

I am having an obsession with burlap door hangings.  I made Mr. Turkey a few weeks ago.  I saw the idea on pinterest.  He was actually very difficult to make.  The burlap I chose was a lose weave and it was hard to sew and keep from fraying.  Happy he is done and on the door!

Halloween Gift Bags

My son receives weekly allergy shots.  The ladies who work in the office are the best!  I have never had a staff treat my kid so well, that they would want to come in weekly for shots.  They spoil my son with attention every week.  I put together these gift bags.  They have a soda, Out of treats sign, and a bugs and kisses jar.  It was an unexpected surprise for them.  It pays to be nice and go the extra mile :)

Witch Shoe

I have been making these paper witch shoes for years.  They are a fun gift to give.  You can google and find a printable template.  They are a little time consuming.  But worth it!

60's style vintage Chair re-vamp!

This Chair was given to me by my mother in law.  It use to sit in the family room of their lake house.  I loved the fabric that was on the chair.  My original plan was to only refinish  and paint the wood.  Once I got the chair home,  I noticed how stained and worn the fabric was.  I also no longer had space for it in the spot I had originally planned.  I changed my mind and decided to put it in my little girls room.  I just had to make it extra Girly.
